Larne boss Gary Haveron has admitted losing two home games in the space of four days is a ‘bit of a worrying trend.’

On Friday, the Inver Park club threw away a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 defeat to Coleraine while on Tuesday night they let slip a 1-0 advantage to lose 2-1 to Linfield.

Leroy Millar fired the hosts into a 1-0 half-time lead but David Healy’s side came roaring back in the second half.

Rhyss Brennan drew the visitors level before Ethan McGee popped up at the back to score from a corner in the final 10 minutes to secure the points.

The result means that Linfield consolidate their second place in the league table, now just two points behind league leaders Coleraine with the same number of games played.

Larne, meanwhile, are 12 points behind the table toppers but have three games in hand.

The Blues are back in action again on Friday night, away to Portadown, where they drew earlier in the season.

Larne are away to Bangor at tea-time on Saturday while Coleraine visit Crusaders at 3pm on Saturday.

Duncan Ferguson takes charge of Glentoran for the first time when they host Ballymena United at the Oval while Limavady United travel to Carrick Rangers.

Dungannon Swifts host Cliftonville in the other game.
