The Coleraine Halloween event has been cancelled due to a Storm Boelo weather warning, with organisers citing safety concerns for attendees.

THE Coleraine Halloween Event scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, October 27) has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions associated with Storm Boelo.

The Met Office has issued two Yellow Weather Warnings for wind affecting parts of Northern Ireland.

The first warning is in place from 6pm today (Monday, October 26) until 3am tomorrow, covering Co Antrim and Co Down.

The second warning runs from 3am until 9pm on Tuesday, affecting Co Antrim and Co Londonderry.

Strong south to south-westerly winds are expected, with gusts of 45–50mph inland and 60–65mph along exposed coasts and over high ground. Heavy rain is also expected at times.
