Due to the Met Office yellow weather warning for strong winds associated with Storm Boelo, which is in place from 6pm on Saturday, October 24 until 3pm on Sunday, October 25, the decision has been taken to cancel Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Halloween event in Ballymoney on Saturday, October 24.

“We understand how disappointing this will be, but the decision has been taken with the safety of visitors, staff and event personnel as the priority,” a spokesperson for the council said.

“Council’s other Halloween events scheduled for Coleraine on Tuesday, October 27, Limavady on Thursday, October 29 and Ballycastle on Saturday, October 31 will continue as planned, unless we experience additional adverse weather.

“Those who had planned to attend the Ballymoney event can avail of a free park and ride shuttle service to attend the Coleraine event instead.

“The service will operate from Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre from 5.30pm to Ulster University, Coleraine. The final bus will depart Ulster University at 10pm for Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.”
