Limavady United seek comeback this weekend

THEIR weekend match against Crusaders was a less than ideal finish, the Crus secured all three points, forcing Limavady to leave empty handed after a 4-1 defeat.

After a goalless first half, Crusaders broke the deadlock shortly after the start of the second, with Elliot Dunlop netting past Marty Gallagher. 15 doubled their lead, but Oisin Duffy put Limavady on the scoresheet just five minutes later.

Crus maintained their form and put in a third goal by Donal Rocks, and Dunlop would finish off the scoring shortly after with his second.

Saturday’s win for Crusaders ended their four match losing streak, whilst giving Limavady their second loss in their last five. The Roesiders are on the road this Saturday to Stangmore Park against Dungannon Swifts to try turn things around in their League campaign.

The Swifts forced a draw with Linfield on Saturday, much to the delight to Coleraine FC who also dropped points this weekend to Glentoran FC.
