Coleraine Cancer Research UK Committee raises £15,000 for charity

Fundraising efforts have continued throughout the year, with supporters taking on personal challenges to help raise vital funds for cancer research.
THE Cancer Research UK Coleraine Committee has raised an impressive £15,000 for Cancer Research UK for the year ending January 2026.
Thanks to the continued hard work and dedication of committee members, along with the generosity and support of the local community, the committee has enjoyed a successful year and is looking forward to building on this achievement.
Fundraising efforts have continued throughout the year, with supporters taking on personal challenges to help raise vital funds for cancer research.
One particularly inspiring challenge was undertaken by Ethan, who climbed Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, on Monday 27 July 2026, in memory of his dad. The eight-hour climb was accompanied by his mum and aunt, who supported him throughout this wonderful tribute.
“The committee would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported its fundraising activities,” commented a spokesperson.
“Everyone is welcome to support our Santa at Kinnyglass event on 4-5th December from 4-8pm for one last year!
“Every donation, act of kindness and contribution helps Cancer Research UK continue its important work towards preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
“With the continued support of the local community, the Coleraine Committee hopes to raise even more money in the coming year. Together, we can help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.”
